Kerry, Brigid, & Cora Clift
Kerry and Brigid Clift and their 17 year old daughter Cora raise registered Charolais cattle nestled in the beautiful Kittitas valley in Ellensburg, Washington. Kerry’s dad had a commercial herd of cow in the 70’s-90’s and used Charolais bulls. This is how I became a believer in using Charolais genetics as an outcross on mixed breed cows. We started building the purebred herd 20 years ago and have built the herd to 60 cows. We really enjoy the seedstock business, the genetic selection and the camaraderie of competition in the show ring. Our cattle are seen at jr. shows throughout the Northwest, Charolais jr. nationals, The Nile in Billings,Mt. and the National Western Stock Show. We also raise timothy hay for the export hay business to Japan. In recent years we have selected the best bulls we could find to build the foundation of our herd. Hand selected genetics based on the cow’s genetic predictability has been a focus for passing on consistent genetics to our customers. We always welcome visitors to view and visit about cattle. Come visit during Labor Day weekend and enjoy The Ellensburg Rodeo ranked in the top 10 rodeos in the nation, you will be entertained by our family.
